ABOUT PUPPY TRAINING

Welcome to our puppy training classes! Starting training early is crucial when young puppies are most receptive to learning.

We focus on kind ethical training and non-aversive tools, using established behavioural techniques to prevent confusion and instill good habits.

With a maximum of six puppies per class, we focus on empowering owners to communicate effectively, ensuring you can continue your puppy's progress at home.

PUPPY TRAINING CLASSES

Over four weeks, your puppy will participate in four engaging classes that utilize effective training techniques.

Up to six check-ins per week are included plus a Puppy Bundle (treat bag, treats, whistle, long line, licky mat and paste).

Puppies can easily become overwhelmed so half of each class is dedicated to socialisation, ensuring a balanced and enjoyable experience, helping your puppy grow into a well-behaved and confident companion.

TRAINING LOCATIONS

We understand that puppies have shorter attention spans, which is why we conduct training in a safe indoor environment or a dedicated enclosed outdoor space.

As your puppy matures, we will gradually introduce them to other locations in Bristol, like Ashton Court, allowing them to experience new stimuli in a comfortable and secure manner.

Reviews

Heather

We had gone through a few walkers before finding Mattie. Her insight when it comes to  reactive dogs is wonderful for me and for my nutty border collie.

She was happy to follow the training I was putting in. She has also given me more understanding when it comes to working with my dog.

I really can't thank her enough for all her help and advice.

Claire

As Yogi reached adolescence I needed support to ensure he
evolved into a balanced, controllable adult.

Marcia was recommended to me and it has
been a total ‘gamechanger’. She truly speaks ‘dog’ and
teaches you their language too.

The change in Yogi has been incredible and he absolutely adores Marcia. He is no longer reactive to other dogs,
socially interacting with confidence and is loving life, and so am I.

Ava

We love having Marcia work with Deano every week. She is so thoughtful & knowledgeable about dogs, particularly those with behavioural difficulties.

She really understands his breed and what he needs - so will make sure he does lots of sniffing games and teaches him obedience as well as having a good run around.

Oh and not to forget this is all one on one - which is exactly what a reactive dog like Deano needs!

Jane Dutton - March 2025

Our Jack Russel puppy Banjo has benefitted so much from our puppy training sessions and Marcia’s expertise has been invaluable in training our lively pup (and his owners).

The sessions are good fun and a great way to socialise with other young dogs.

Banjo is well on his way to being a happy well behaved dog with lots of energy - but also focused in the right way to keep his owners happy too.

Fay Stephens - March 2025

We have had several training sessions now with Marcia for our reactive Dachshund, Roland and we can't speak more highly of her! She has been brilliant - understanding, empathetic and we are seeing results with him already. We have all enjoyed working with her, especially Roland. The sessions have been clear, easy to follow and supportive - she's really gone the extra mile for us. Thank you!

Emily Greenwood - January 2025

Marcia provided walking services for our reactive dog previously - we highly recommend her. She is understanding, empathetic and very switched on to our dogs needs.
